The Durham Plan has reached its “Examination in Public” (EiP) stage.
An independent Inspector will lead the EiP. He will examine the ‘soundness’ of the Plan
and will invite interested individuals and groups who objected to the Plan to attend public hearings to test the Plan. This will involve the inspector considering whether the Plan is positively prepared, justified, effective and consistent.
It is a very significant stage for groups who have made submissions to the various stages of the Plans development and who do not like elements of it.
