Branch Profile

Chair person of Durham Branch is Elizabeth Mann. A resident of Darlington and long term member of CPRE.

Has a very strong interest in the countryside and its activities. Hobbies are skiing, mountaineering, and general country matters. Has authored two books on Wind Farm developments in the Durham Countryside. A good assessor of the merits or otherwise of planning applications. Has been an active opponent of Wind Turbines in unfavourable locations but is not "Anti Wind". Developments in the right place are fully supported.

The Branch also has a Branch Secretary, a Vice Chair, a Local Foods Officer, a Press Officer and a Littter Co-Ordinator.  All of whom are volunteers.
